Clinique IRSA Laser have chosen the In Lab medical device to perform microneedling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy. This is a medical-aesthetic procedure, approved by Health Canada, in which micro-needles make controlled micro-perforations.
This non-invasive procedure uses tiny needles to create micro-perforations in the skin. The aim of this procedure is to trigger your skin’s own repair process, thereby stimulating collagen and elastin production and promoting skin renewal, so that many skin conditions can be significantly improved.
The results: smoother, firmer, younger-looking skin.
Micro-needling can help with:
Initial consultation
Before starting treatment, a consultation with a skin care professional is essential to assess your skin and determine whether microneedling is right for you.
Application of anaesthetic gel (optional)
To minimize discomfort during the procedure, an anesthetic gel can be applied to the skin.
Principle of action
Microneedling In Lab Medical treatment, used in combination with Hyaluronic Acid, creates micro-channels that trigger the cell renewal process, as well as enabling optimal, ultra-efficient absorption of topical gels, creams and serums applied afterwards.
Session sequence
On cleansed and disinfected skin, the professional makes several passes over the area, at different depths, to reach all layers of the dermis. It is normal to feel some redness in the first 24-48 hours.
At Clinique IRSA Laser, we apply a soothing mask or collagen and light therapy, as well as moisturizers to optimize your results and ensure maximum comfort.
Treatment duration
The complete facial treatment lasts approximately 60 min.
Number of sessions and intervals
For optimum results, we recommend 3 to 6 treatments, four weeks apart. The collagen production process begins 5 days after each treatment and continues slowly over time, peaking around 12 weeks after treatment.
Application of specific products
After microneedling, specific products, such as serums rich in vitamins and amino acids, can be applied to promote skin healing and regeneration.
Post-treatment care
Follow the technician’s instructions, avoid sun exposure and apply sunscreen for proper healing and maintenance.
Is microneedling painful?
Before the procedure, an anesthetic cream is applied to ensure maximum comfort. The sensation experienced during the microneedling process is similar to that of lightly rubbing sandpaper on the skin.
The procedure may cause some discomfort, but is very well tolerated by the vast majority of patients.
Following treatment, the treated areas will show some redness, which will dissipate over the next few days.
