LED light therapy for the skin
LED phototherapy uses low-energy light therapy to treat a wide range of conditions. Its benefits are used in traditional medicine, aesthetic treatments and anti-aging.
Low-energy light applications emit various wavelengths from blue to near-infrared. Different colors and combinations can be used alongside physical therapy to relieve pain or accelerate wound healing. It is often used in wellness treatments (seasonal depression). Light Therapy technology can also be used as an adjunct to anti-aging and aesthetic therapies, and to treat a variety of skin conditions, such as acne, rosacea, inflammation and flushing.
What it does
LED phototherapy can be used alone or combined with a facial, microdermabrasion or laser treatment. LED therapy uses different wavelengths of light color to penetrate the skin in a sequential timeframe, depending on the condition being treated.
It can be used after injections, mesotherapy and PRP treatments. LED therapy reduces inflammation and helps heal the skin appreciably. LED light therapy can be combined with a facial, also known as a “celebrity facial”.
As the LEDs work on the skin, the colors send a soothing message to the mind. It’s a very safe and comforting treatment with no unwanted heat or downtime.
The LED machine is placed close to the skin, allowing light energy to penetrate the tissue where it interacts with chromophores in the cells leading to changes at the molecular or cellular level in the body.
LED photostimulation produces cascading events deep inside the cell, signaling molecules to stimulate the mitochondria (otherwise known as the cell’s energy powerhouse) to increase energy production, much like photosynthesis in plants.
Treatments last from 15 to 30 minutes, are painless and can be used on all skin types and colors! Just sit back and relax while the LEDs work their magic!
